In her role as a radio host and DJ, Tash LC draws on a wide range of influences. It certainly helps that she’s an avid record collector—and that she calls the cultural melting pot of London home. There, she’s constantly exposed to a rich spectrum of sounds, particularly from diasporic communities.

In her DJ sets—whether in clubs or on the airwaves—Tash weaves together an eclectic mix of styles. Traditional Afro-diasporic genres like soukous and merengue meet kuduro, soca, and contemporary club sounds such as grime and techno. What ties it all together is a sense of driving energy and layered, intricate rhythms.

With her globally informed club sound, she now tours across Europe, with occasional stops in Africa and Latin America. On Saturday, Tash LC heads to Soundgarden, where she’s set to turn up the heat with one of her high-impact, percussion-heavy sets. We can’t wait 💥
