With Sonia Calico, influences from East and South Asia are added to the mix. The Taiwanese producer and DJ fuses all of these currents into an intense, cathartic sound that’s almost impossible to stand still to. Sonia is one of the key figures in Taiwan’s club scene, shaping it not only as an artist but also as a label founder and the director of the GLOWBALL Festival, which creates new platforms for electronic music and queer perspectives. Internationally, she’s firmly established, with releases on labels from Mexico City to Turin and performances across Europe, Asia, the US, and Australia.
