Waldbühne
Music has accompanied Danitsa her entire life. Growing up in a family of musicians, she was singing her father’s songs as a child—long before the Franco-Swiss singer had even begun to think about what “genre” means. That’s exactly how her signature vibe emerged: hip-hop meets soul meets reggae. Warm, soft, effortless. As if her voice always knows exactly where to go.
Danitsa looks back on more than 200 shows across Europe. From Montreux Jazz to Paléo, Eurosonic, Reeperbahn, and MaMA. Her music has been streamed over 12 million times, she’s earned a gold single, two Swiss Music Awards, and an MTV EMA nomination… and then things went quiet for four years.
Or so it seemed. While the music industry kept getting faster and more driven by algorithms, Danitsa deliberately stepped back. To figure out who she is, what she truly wants to say, and how she wants her voice to sound.
That’s why this doesn’t feel like a classic comeback and more like a reset. The single “Miss Yo” is just the first spark. With the upcoming album, she opens up an entire universe of themes like family, sisterhood, love, self-love, identity, and rediscovering one’s own voice. There are also collaborations with MOLIY, Strandz, and Jarreau Vandal, just to name a few.
First a spark—and then she sets the whole Waldbühne on fire
