Waldbühne
Almost ten years ago, Pronto broke through with “Clean”. Even back then, the Solothurn rapper’s sound was defined by heavy beats, an uncompromising flow, and razor-sharp lyrics. Those lyrics aren’t always easy to decipher, though—partly because the Swiss artist, who has Ghanaian roots, draws influence from mumble rap and, true to the genre’s name, doesn’t shy away from a slightly slurred delivery when he spits.
But Pronto isn’t just a Swiss copy of 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, or Lil Uzi Vert—all key figures in the mumble rap movement. Far from it. He has crafted a distinctive sound of his own, blending trap with elements of afrobeat, dancehall, and reggae.
After three albums and countless features—including collaborations with German rappers like Ataypapi and Eno, as well as Swiss artists such as Soukey, Stereo Luchs, Lo & Leduc, Buds, and GRMV—Pronto is back with a new mixtape. It’s titled “BURN THE BOAT”, and the name says it all: there’s no turning back for Pronto. He stays locked on his path and does things his way—and when he takes the Waldbühne, he’ll have the entire Gurten shaking. All we’re saying is: “PR-PR-PRONTOOOOO”
