Sassy indie rock meets clever German rap. What sounds like an impossible combination has been Kraftklub’s signature since 2011. It’s a sound only the five-piece band can pull off so consistently: guitars, bass, and drums fused with rap-style vocals that are sharp, ironic, and always full of attitude.
After a creative break and solo projects—frontman Felix Brummer, aka Kummer, released songs with Nina Chuba, Casper, and LGoony, among others—Kraftklub returned in 2022 with “Kargo”. The sound had matured, the songwriting sharpened, and their range expanded, yet the vibe remained unmistakable: clear, catchy, and politically charged. At the end of 2025, they followed up with “Sterben in Karl-Marx-Stadt”, adding a few forceful exclamation marks to their reputation.
Anyone who has experienced Kraftklub live knows: the band from Chemnitz (formerly Karl-Marx-Stadt) truly comes alive on stage. A Kraftklub gig is less a concert and more a collective adrenaline rush—loud, sweaty, and electrifying—that lingers in your bones for days afterward.
