K.I.ZK.I.ZK.I.Z

Cannibals in civilian clothes, aspiring monks in celibacy, artists in straitjackets, war criminals in chains, capitalism as a magic trick, or crusaders in Central Asia – the German acronym K.I.Z could mean any of these things. Or none. The mystery is part of the appeal. What isn’t a mystery is their brand: sharp, satirical German rap that doubles as an anti-pop spectacle. K.I.Z is provocative, parodying and criticizing with equal fervor, often backed by pounding, bass-heavy beats. Their message is clear: take aim at the powerful and stand with the underdog. After 24 years, the Berlin trio’s formula still resonates because, let’s be honest, capitalism hasn’t exactly become less vicious.
