New at the Gurtenfestival: Second-hand tickets!

Say good-bye to the illegal and often annoying hunt for festival wristbands: an independent, not-for-profit project team is launching an innovative solution that is new to the festival world. From now on it is completely legal to pass on your festival wristband to another person – for a price that you determine yourself. Only the transfer fee of CHF 5.00 is pre-determined. The Gurtenfestival team applaud this idea and are happy to support this year’s pilot project.

This is how it works

  1. Let’s assume you have a one-day pass, you leave the festival at midnight, and you would like to get a little something back.
  2. You visit the second-hand ticket booth next to the festival’s main entrance between 10 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. to find a taker for your wristband, or you find a buyer via social media and meet at an agreed upon time at the second-hand ticket booth.
  3. You negotiate a price, and for a fee of CHF 5.00 you can get a new festival wristband for the buyer at the second-hand ticket booth – officially and legally.

The same holds true for multi-day passes. Even VIP wristbands can be sold second-hand. However, the buyer will receive a REGULAR WRISTBAND that is good for the festival grounds only and NOT FOR THE VIP AREA!

Things to be aware of

  1. The second-hand ticket booth solely acts as the facilitator for the wristband transfer. It is entirely up to the seller and the buyer to agree upon a price (if any) and to determine who pays the CHF 5.00 transfer fee.
  2. Gurtenfestival AG accepts no liability whatsoever between the transferring parties (seller and buyer).
  3. The terms and conditions of Gurtenfestival AG are applicable to all festival visitors and all ticket categories.

We look forward to seeing how this innovative solution is going to work out. We wish all Gurtenfestival fans a happy and peaceful festival!
