The Gurtenfestival is part of the summer like the Aare is part of Bern – we were able to collect beautiful and unforgettable memories for 36 times now. We will continue to do so in the future; and yet everything is different this year 2020.

In the last few days it has become more and more apparent, considering the situation it is clearly the only right decision and still it is with a very heavy heart that we tell you today: The Gurtenfestival 2020 is canceled.

The current situation with COVID-19 makes it impossible to gather thousands of people to celebrate together on our local mountain for four days.

We were really looking forward to our four favorite days of the year with you, we were extremely looking forward to all the great bands. We will miss the togetherness, the songs sung along, all the beautiful emotions and joy.

But, in this crazy exceptional year 2020, we have to stop early. We will be back after the necessary time of damage analysis, reorientation and planning – a lot of positive energy and joy for 2021 is guaranteed.
