DJ and producer Hunee has firmly secured his status as a legend—and that might even be an understatement. Raised in Bochum in a culturally engaged South Korean family, Hun Choi (his real name) moved to the German capital just three days after graduating from high school. While he came to study, his real motivation was to dig through Berlin’s record stores (and later work in one of them) and immerse himself in the city’s nightlife. Today, Hunee is a key figure in house, disco, and anything else that brings joy to the dancefloor. His eclectic sets often weave in elements of jazz, dub, folk, and funk from all over the world, captivating crowds in intimate basement clubs just as effortlessly as on massive festival stages—or in our Cosmodrome.
