Freak Flat My Line-up Close
12–16 July 2023
Bern/Switzerland

This summer, exclusive and for a one-time show, the Swiss Jazz Orchestra will be performing together with Baze, Jaël, Seven, Tashan & Luca Hänni.
The SJO is a world-renowned 18-piece big band that plays in Bern every Monday from October to May with guests from Switzerland and abroad. In 2023 they will celebrate their 20th anniversary, so they are half as old as the Gurtenfestival.
Together with the guest singers, they arrange and produce their songs anew, under the leadership of the Bernese Rico Baumann (true, King Pepe & The Queens and many more), Flo Reichle (Style Bakery, Lo & Leduc and many more), Toni Schiavano (Style Bakery, The Beautiful Now u.v.m.) and the internationally acclaimed arranger, composer and pianist Philipp Henzi. If you’re expecting a classic big band concert, you’re wrong. We can look forward to varied, modern interpretations and we are super curious as to what songs they’ll perform on the Güsche main stage on Sunday. The plan is: set up on the lawn, order a morning pint or mocktail and curtain up for a musical spectacle!
