We’re back: Together with over 40 confirmed acts for Festival 22!

For the last two years it has been relatively quiet on Bern’s local mountain in mid-July. The reasons are obvious, or rather, unfortunately, mostly at the top of your lungs. And now we’ll make it short: We’re ready and start the pre-sale for the Gurtenfestival 2022 on 02.02.22 at 10.00 a.m. with confidence and joy in the numbers of schnapps; at the same time the programme will be published.

Those who still have the programme from 2020, which never took place, somewhere in the back of their minds will encounter one or two familiar names. Headliners include crowd favourites Seeed, show giants The Chemical Brothers, neo-soul queen Erykah Badu, chart-toppers Black Eyed Peas and one of the brightest stars in American rap and pop business today, Megan Thee Stallion.

Musical diversity with numerous highlights

Dubbed the most influential Brazilian by FORBES, singer Anitta, with trillions of streams and her own Netflix series, is guaranteed to give the güsche a run for its money. The trend-setting, Mercury Prize-winning Arlo Parks, rap shooting star Jack Harlow, hardcore punkers Turnstile and the Corona club-hitters Shouse are of course not to be missed on the Hausberg.

Jamie XX will provide “good times” and Zoe Wees and Joya Marleen will ensure heartfelt sing-along moments.

Skepta will provide the turn-up, Parcels will conjure up electronic disco-soul moments and Balthazar will ensure the perfect summer evening with their touching earworms.

Stereo Luchs will sing “ändlech widr dusse, ändlech widr heiss”, Kings Elliot will enchant with their wonderfully intense songs, Danitsa will invite you to the party, and Dino Brandão will perform his rebellious pop collages. From the neighbouring country to the north, the rap-punk rockers Kraftklub, the rapper Juju and the newcomer Schmyt, who is actually not new at all, will travel to the festival.

Other highlights will certainly include the French-Cuban sister duo Ibeyi, la brise française Polo & Pan, the four women with perhaps the best party music in the world – Los Bitchos, as well as folk-rock musician Kevin Morby.

The Afrobeat jazz combo from London Kokoroko, the Italian music duo Nu Genea with live band, the rising star Ayra Starr and the experimental Maastricht band YĪN YĪN will provide the long-missed festival vibe. The Waldbühne contest winners Tshanda and M’Ghadi can’t be missed in 2022 either!

Bärn, baby!

From the 4-octave-covering streaming queen Ilira, to the heart-warming and dance-animating Sirens of Lesbos, from the heroes of the dialect Jeans for Jesus, to the incomparable Meitschi vom Breitsch, Steff la Cheffe, from the ever reinventing poet King Pepe & the Queens to the multi-faceted Pablo Nouvelle, from the party queen Jessiquoi to the hardlife bern representing Prix Garanti, from the rap veterans Chlyklass to the wonderful, exclusive combination Sophie Hunger & Bonaparte, from the promising newcomers Biandapid to the really good rock troupe The Wise Fools – they are all 22 at the Güsche!

Refund 2020, advance sale 2022, admission rules

Tickets for the 2020 festival, first cancelled due to Covid-19, were refunded at that time and not carried over to the next edition taking place. Tickets for the 22nd edition can be purchased at the new Gurtenfestival ticket shop. Should the Gurtenfestival 2022 have to be cancelled again due to Covid-19, tickets will be 100% refunded. The Gurtenfestival must implement the nationally applicable rules regarding admission criteria for large outdoor events. Currently, this would mean that the festival would take place under 3G conditions. With the purchase of the ticket, the ticket purchasers acknowledge that the organiser must implement the regulations in force at the time of July 2022, and that no tickets can be refunded as a result.
