depot donation
The depot donation during the Gurtenfestival can confidently be described as a tradition! Every year, visitors can donate their reusable cups and crockery (worth CHF 2) to a good / social cause. The organisation or donation cause is selected anew each year. In order to guarantee a varied commitment, also in terms of diversity, and to live a transparent and low-threshold culture, organisations and associations can apply with their donation purpose.

Presence at the festivalThe organization will have a stand on the festival grounds. It can be present there with its own staff, accept donations of reusable tableware and cups and provide information about the purpose of the donation. Visitors can also donate their reusable tableware and cups at the collection points at any time. Information will also be posted on the festival screens at the stages and on the digital communication channels (homepage, social media, newsletter).
Performance of the organizationWith the application, the organization agrees to be present during the festival (4 days) with its own staff on site, at its information stand on the tent stage area. The information material for the campaign will be provided by the organization.
Criteria for the application
- The organization/donation raises awareness and provides information on an important topic
- The organization/donation enables inclusion, diversity, equal rights and treatment, social justice
- Whenever possible, the organization is based in the greater Bern area and/or the donation benefits a project in the greater Bern area
- The purpose of the donation is in some way related to the core of the festival: music, culture, (young) people, sustainability (social, environmental, economic)
