Depot donation
The donation of deposit items during the Gurtenfestival can be considered a tradition! Each year, visitors have the opportunity to donate their reusable cups and dishes (worth 2 CHF) to a good social cause. The supported organization and the purpose of the donation are selected anew each year. To ensure a diverse engagement and to live a transparent and inclusive culture, organizations and associations can apply with their donation purpose.

- Notification of acceptance or rejection: by May 2, 2025
Presence at the festival
The organization will receive a stand on the festival grounds where they can be present with their own staff, accept donations of reusable dishes and cups, and inform visitors about the purpose of the donation. At the return stations, all attendees can also donate their reusable dishes and cups at any time. Furthermore, information will be provided through festival screens at the stages as well as on digital communication channels (website, social media, newsletter).
Organization’s commitment
By applying, the organization agrees to be present during the festival (4 days) with their own staff at their information stand in the tent stage area. The campaign’s informational material will be provided by the organization.

- The organization/the donation purpose raises awareness and informs about an important issue.
- The organization/the donation purpose promotes inclusion, diversity, equality, and social justice.
- The organization is, whenever possible, located in the Bern area, and/or the donation benefits a project from the Bern area.
Relevance to the festival’s core themes
- The donation purpose is in some way related to the core of the festival: music, culture, (young) people, sustainability (social, ecological, economic).
