Rachel Chinouriri

Rachel Chinouriri

(UK)

Thursday

Main Stage

14:45

At the age of 17, Rachel Chinouriri recorded her first songs on a £20 microphone, uploading them to Soundcloud via her mother’s laptop. The South Londoner had her first real hit in 2018 with the song “So My Darling”. The single became a TikTok phenomenon in no time and was just as euphorically received by the critics as the two EPs “Four° in Winter” and “Better Off Without” from 2021 and 2022. Rachel Chinouriri likes to cite pop girl groups like Girls Aloud and the Sugababes, as well as Daughter, Coldplay, Lily Allen and African acapella as her main influences. Supporting high calibre artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Sam Fender, Chinouriri has cemented her reputation as one of the UK’s most promising indie pop talents; her debut album, “What a Devastating Turn of Events”, is the culmination of an exciting musical journey by a young artist finding her full self-expression.
