Altın Gün

They are one of those bands you just have to see live. Altin Gün combine psych-rock and contemporary synthpop with Anatolian and Turkish folk music, creating visionary reinterpretations of traditional songs, an exciting journey between past and future. Their first two albums, “On” (2018) and “Gece” (2019), were praised by international critics and earned the band a Grammy nomination. “Âlem and Yol” (2021) was followed in 2023 by the live album “Aşk”, with which Altin Gün returned to their greatest strength: the urgency of their world-famous, driving, mesmerising live performances. Indeed, the five-piece band from Amsterdam, some of whom are of Turkish descent, have already captivated half the world with their unmistakable sound, playing sold-out headline tours in North America and Europe and performing at the biggest festivals on the planet: Coachella, Lowlands, Primavera Sound, Fuji Rock. In 2024, it’s finally the Gurtenfestival’s turn.
